MaKenna Adsit is starting her first year of teaching at Heritage Lutheran School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology and a Family Social Science minor from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2022. She is passionate about teaching young developing children in a nurturing and Christ centered environment. Prior to accepting the call to Heritage she taught preschool at Cornerstone Early Learning Center in Hugo, MN. She has had the opportunity to work with children through her experiences with nannying, volunteering with Child Life Specialists, and being a part of the Cognitive Development and Neuroimaging Lab at the U of M. She is an animal lover and outdoors enthusiast, with that she is able to incorporate her knowledge of nature based learning practices into the classroom. MaKenna’s goal is to create a calming, comfortable, and compassionate environment for the children as well as their wonderful families.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family in White Bear Lake and taking trips up north to spend time in God’s wonderful creation!
Stacy Kiecker has been teaching at Heritage Lutheran School as a preschool teacher since 2002. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato and her Bachelor of Science degree in Elem. Ed. and Special Ed. from Minnesota State University – Mankato. Prior careers have been working in homes for developmentally disabled children, in classrooms with autistic children, and as a licensed childcare provider. She enjoys working in a Christian environment where she can share God’s Word with the children each and every day.
Stacy and her husband, Gene, live in Farmington. Stacy spends her free time reading, scrapbooking, biking, and gardening. Most of all though she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Teresa Lehne began teaching at Heritage Lutheran School in April of 2007. She taught preschool for 17 years before becoming the K-2 teacher. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elem. Ed. from Mankato State University in 1985. She taught kindergarten for four years and 2nd grade for three years in the Forest Lake School District before resigning to be a stay-at-home mom. In 2004, she accepted a one-year call to be a part-time 2nd grade teacher at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Burnsville. Following that experience, she taught as a substitute teacher until she joined the Heritage Lutheran staff. She feels blessed to be able to share the Word of God and the love of learning with her students each day. The sincere faith, love and enthusiasm of her students never ceases to amaze her.
Teresa lives in Burnsville with her husband Tim. She enjoys spending time with her family, singing, cooking, crafting, reading and visiting her grandchildren.
